Oh Lord. I don't know if you'll even get to see this but if you will--it is I, a ghost from your past. I decided to do a nostalgia trip and stumbled upon some things that reminded me of my Tumblr phase. Emily here. Ring a bell? I hope you're doing alright. It's been nearly a decade since our last convo, and I know I'm irrelevant to your life now. It's just nice to know that your blog still exists. Your last post was when? 2019? Wow. Ta!
omg, hello!!! of course i still remember! i remember us talking about entering college, and how you wanted to take up something like criminology in letran because you were inspired by criminal minds (i hope i’m remembering the right details)!
i log on once every blue moon (today being one of them) to see what’s going on with the youth (or to look at fanart) and i reblog a few posts here and there then log off for another few years haha.
this made me smile, which is what i really needed especially during this hellscape of 2020 quarantine haha. if you ever come visit this page again and read this answer years from now, i sincerely hope you’re well!
What I love about this scene. Is we find out through subtext why, and more importantly HOW the diamonds were made. They are the embodiments of White’s flaws given form. The anger and obsession of Yellow, the sadness of Blue, and the childish nature of Pink. All removed from her so that she could see herself as the most perfect being. She removed those aspects of herself and put it into the ground like a seed. Thus forming the diamonds. This also comes into play with how gems in general are created. It could be possible that the diamonds take what they find to be flaws about themselves and put it into the gems they make. But back to White, she describes herself as a perfect mix of ALL light. Which of course is possible. However in this case, she has removed the primary colors of light from her, she is the absence of light. The absence of flaws. Well until steven showed up.
